Upward Bound House

For my Eagle Scout Project, I chose to support the Upward Bound House, an organization dedicated to ending homelessness for families with children, by offering housing, support services, and advocacy. I first learned about the organization while volunteering with a fellow Scout to build and install a deck at their local urban farm. To further enhance the space, I decided to add three picnic tables, creating seating for comfort and community engagement. The area is currently used for events such as summer camps and charity fundraisers, and it is primarily used by children.

I raised funds to purchase materials, designed the general look and feel of the tables and guided fifteen volunteers in building and installing them. We used high-quality materials and focused on our craftsmanship to make sure they were durable and aesthetically pleasing.
